National Geographic Television recently shot the first season of a new reality series featuring Gabriel Kelly in the mountains and backcountry of Central California following him as he survives off the land using Natural Living Skills. Kaimanu built him an agave twin fin to be used as an all around surfboard and watercraft. The show will start this Fall, airing September 30th, look for the board and the ocean adventures in the last part of the season. Filmed by local Kellen Keene and a National Geographic Television team.
Indian Summer in January…75 degrees glassy and west swell for days…It was a good run…thank you Mother Ocean
New boards and surfing new waves go hand in hand. One thing wonderful about surfing is there are endless new waves to ride…what’s at the end of the rainbow?
Kaimanu will be presenting at the Salt of the Earth Surfing Conference at the University of California Santa Cruz on November 2. The conference is being put on by folks at the university to cover the changing aspects of surfboard technology and the cultural diasporas of surfing. Should be interesting and it will be full of many different people. Its an honor to be a guest speaker.
